The site, subject to strict noise pollution and environmental preservation rules, required a meticulous approach to each phase of the worksite. Despite the exceptionally compact soil, the technique used to bury the pipelines was adapted to ensure the success of the installation in a coastal area.
Engineering, procurement, construction and installation:
- Onshore/offshore surveys.
- Inerting and debottlenecking of the existing 16″ imported seal.
- Near-shore soil preparation (dredging and backfilling).
- Laying of 1 new 16″ buried pipeline, 1,100 m long, new 16″ sealine, 2,200 m long, new 16″ connection spool between sealine and existing 10″ PLEM.
- Proof test, cleaning and inspection of the new pipeline.
- Installation of 2.2 km of 16″ curved pipe, installed by foundry pulling.
